While there are many reasons, like bad updates, stale gameplay, developers not listening to the community, or getting bored of the game itself, players head out looking for other games like Hearthstone.
Don’t get more wrong! Hearthstone is a really great card game. Still, once in a while, you’ll feel the urge to look at other alternatives.
Exactly why. In this article, I’m going to recommend a few games like Hearthstone. I am excluding games in the exact genre without an active player base (dead games), because what’s the point in playing an intense card game if you can’t get opponents?
Before heading into the article, if you’re looking to purchase a Hearthstone account, let me suggest the Hearthstone account for sale on U7BUY. Here, you can purchase accounts with legendary cards, tons of dust, and thousands of gold for the best price. You can also get an account with any deck of your choice, so do not miss out! You can also purchase Hearthstone items or even get your account boosted; check out the U7BUY store today.
Legends of Runeterra
Legends of Runeterra is a card game developed by Riot Games. In this game, you collect cards to duel against other players and these cards are basically the champions from League of Legends. Speaking of LoL characters, there is a new fighting game called 2XKO by Riot Games that features League Champions. Have you checked it out yet?
Anyway, Riot Games is doing great in multiple genres of games and the same goes for Legends of Runeterra too. If you’re looking for a free-to-play card game, a game with a strong player base, a good-looking interface and finally, if you like what Riot Games does, this is the perfect game for you to try out next!
Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel
Next on the list is Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel by Konami. Like most of the card games, this one is also available on multiple platforms, and surprisingly enough, it has a consistently high player count on Steam.
Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links had established itself as an extremely popular card game. As soon as the announcement of Master Duel was made, almost everyone shifted to the new game, and for all reasons, it does stand worth trying out, especially if you’re looking for games similar to Hearthstone. You can just check out U7BUY, which has more game accounts to buy!
Marvel Snap
Marvel Snap is an award-winning, fast-paced collectible card game. Not quite Hearthstone, but still a CCG with a great deal of similarities. A really well-made card game with Marvel lore featuring cards like Blade, Spider-Man, Captain America, and hundreds of other characters.
One of the main reasons for this game’s success is its designer, Ben Brode. Ben is a very popular game developer and he was the face of Hearthstone until 2018. Later, he left Blizzard to make a studio of his own called Second Dinner.
He is someone that carried Hearthstone for many years and he is very much loved by the community. His experience with collectible card games can be seen in Marvel Snap; it is a very fun and well-designed game!
Conclusion
Honorable mentions include Shadowverse and Magic: The Gathering Arena. These games are equally great; do check them out.
Gwent is another really great card game. It started off as a mini-game inside The Witcher 3. The players loved this mini-game so much that the developers released a standalone game. Unfortunately, the game doesn’t have many players left.
Anyway, Hearthstone is still receiving updates and new expansions and the Masters Tour summer championship is right around the corner. I’m sure they will figure out a way to become the best CCG once more.
